Today is Erev Rosh Chodesh Sivan. On this day, Jewish parents have the custom to recite Tefilas HaShlah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This prayer was composed by the Shelah Hakadosh to express the prayers and hopes of parents on behalf of their children. Parents can take this opportunity to have in mind the success, happiness, and health of their children. It can be said any day, but holds a special power on Erev Rosh Chodesh Sivan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Shelah Hakadosh writes that the optimal time for parents to recite this prayer is Erev Rosh Chodesh Sivan because “that is the month when Hashem gave us His Torah, and when we began to be called his children.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
