The Butler and the Baker<\/p>\n

In this week’s Torah portion, we have the story of Pharaoh’s two servants that are thrown into jail. Before we discuss who they were and what they did wrong, I would like to share a personal story. Just yesterday, I was going through the parsha<\/em> and I noticed that once again<\/strong>, Pharaoh’s servants messed up. I couldn’t believe it: Why did they keep on making the same mistake, year after year?!? WHEN ARE THESE GUYS GOING TO LEARN THEIR LESSON?<\/p>\n

Let’s talk about who they were and what their crimes were. One servant was Pharaoh’s chief baker. That begs the question:
\nWhy did Pharaoh’s baker get a job at the Palace Bakery?
\nBECAUSE HE KNEADED DOUGH!!<\/p>\n

Anyway, the baker baked a loaf of bread that had stones in it. When Pharaoh bit into the bread, he yelled, “UGH, YOU CALL THIS BREAD? IT’S HARD LIKE A ROCK!”<\/p>\n

The other servant was Pharaoh’s cup-bearer, who used to pour Pharaoh’s wine. There was a fly that had a severe alcohol problem and was willing to die in order to take a sip of wine. This fly flew right into the cup of Pharaoh’s wine. This leads to a question: Why would a fly want to take a sip of wine? ISN’T IT HIGH ENOUGH ALREADY?<\/p>\n

Anyway, when Pharaoh took a sip of wine, he realized that there was a fly in the wine. Pharaoh was furious! Why was Pharaoh so upset?
\nBECAUSE THE U.N. HAD DECLARED EGYPT A NO-FLY ZONE!!<\/p>\n
