In this week\u2019s parshah<\/em>, Hashem<\/em> tells Moshe to\ngather 70 zikainim<\/em>, 70 elders, to help him lead the Jews. Why 70? There\nis a deeper significance to this number. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How many Jewish concepts can you think of that have to do\nwith the number 70? We are taught that the 70 elders were representative of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. The 70 Jews who went down\nto Egypt <\/li>
  2. The 70 nations of the world<\/li>
  3. The 70 names of Hashem <\/li>
  4. The 70 names of the Jews <\/li>
  5. The 70 names of Jerusalem<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    This is just one example that shows us that nothing in\nJudaism is random!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
