{"id":2867,"date":"2018-11-08T16:40:57","date_gmt":"2018-11-08T16:40:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.oorahspirit.org\/?p=2867"},"modified":"2018-11-08T16:40:57","modified_gmt":"2018-11-08T16:40:57","slug":"bbq-schnitzel-fingers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fargate.dev.torahmates.org\/jewish-resources\/bbq-schnitzel-fingers\/","title":{"rendered":"BBQ Schnitzel Fingers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>BBQ Schnitzel Fingers from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kosher.com\/recipe\/have-it-your-way-bbq-chicken-schnitzel-fingers-6243\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u>Kosher.com<\/u><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4\u00a0chicken breasts<\/li>\n<li>2\u00a0eggs, beaten<\/li>\n<li>2\u00a0cloves\u00a0garlic, minced<\/li>\n<li>1 big squirt\u00a0BBQ sauce\u00a0or Dijon mustard<\/li>\n<li>Dried parsley flakes<\/li>\n<li>Bread\/ cornflakes \/ panko crumbs and spices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Instructions:<\/p>\n<p>Marinate:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Mix egg, garlic, BBQ sauce, and parsley well.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer egg, garlic and spices to a Ziploc bag. Add chicken.<\/li>\n<li>Refrigerate until ready to use; even overnight. The longer it sits the more flavorful and moist it becomes.<\/li>\n<li>To coat dip chicken straight from bag into spiced crumbs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>To Fry:<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>Preheat your oil in deep skillet or frying pan on medium high heat with approximately three-fourths inch of oil.<\/li>\n<li>Fry approximately three minutes per side depending on thickness and allow schnitzel to cool (and drain).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>To Bake:<\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li>Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and place\u00a0a real (metal) baking sheet in the oven as it heats up. That way, when you place your chicken strips on the pan they begin to crisp up right away.<\/li>\n<li>When oven is preheated, spray baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and lay down chicken strips. Spray top of chicken and bake.
